Ordinance 1323 ORDINANCE NO. 1323
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF
"THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, 1950" .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 22 of "The Code of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, 1950" be and the same is hereby
amended by adding a new Section thereto immediately following
Section 22.13 thereof, to be numbered and to read as follows:
"Section 22.13 .1. It shall be unlawful for any
person knowingly or maliciously
to make, transmit or convey, or to procure, aid,
counsel, or induce another to make, transmit or
convey, by any means or mode of communication
whatsoever, to any other person any threat or any
false statement, represenation, rumor or suggestion
that a bomb, or other explosive device, has been, or
will be, placed in any church, synagogue, or other
place of religious worship; any school, public or
private; any hospital; any hotel, restaurant, or other
place of public accommodation; any building or property
used for or in connection with the transportation of
the public or in any other building, structure or
place, public or private, of whatsoever nature. "
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: The health and welfare of the City being in peril,
the three readings of this ordinance shall be had
in one session and the City Council finding that this ordinance
is necessary for the immediate protection of its citizens, it
shall therefore go into effect immediately upon its passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of November, 1958.

having been passed and adopted by 'the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of
the City Hall in said City on the 17th day of November, 1958,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
