Ordinance 1331 ORDINANCE NO. 1331
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 .2 OF "THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, 1950" .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 3.2 of the "Code of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, 1950", be and the same is hereby
amended so as to read as follows:
"Section 3 . 2.
(a) All territory embraced within the
corporate limits of the City of Miami Beach
shall be deemed and is hereby declared to be
a bird sanctuary.
(b) It shall be unlawful for any
person to injure, kill, hunt, destroy, capture
or molest by any means whatsoever, or in any
manner or form, any bird within the City,
provided, however, that the Chief of Police may
issue a special permit therefor to persons
holding a valid permit to destroy birds for
scientific purposes issued by the State Fish
and Game Commission and by the United States
Fish and Wildlife Service, Department of the
Interior."
SECTION' 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of January, 1959.

having been passed and adopted by .the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of
the City Hall in said City on the 21st day of January, 1959,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
