Ordinance 1413• ORDINANCE NO. 1413 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 289, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE "ZONING ORDINANCE OF MIAMI BEACH". BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1 That Section 7 of Ordinance No. 289, commonly known as the "Zoning Ordinance of Miami Beach" be and the same is hereby amended so as to delete paragraph 10 thereof pertaining to self-service laundries. SECTION 2 That Section 8 of Ordinance No. 289 be and the same is hereby amended to add an additional paragraph thereto immediately following paragraph 16, to be numbered and to read as follows: "17. Self-service Laundries: Provided only domestic type dryers, having a capacity per unit not exceeding 32 pounds of dry clothing, are used, and the machines shall be screened from the street by a reception room, office space, or other suitable means, so that the machines shall not be in view of the public." SECTION 3 That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 4 That this ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon its passage and posting as required by law.
