AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE #678
BEING AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF SALARIES TO BE
PAID TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND FIXING THE RATES THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance #678 of the City of Miami Beach
be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

G. Chief Building Inspector Sa3y per month 795.00
H. Superintendent of Recreation Salary per month 795.00
I. Lifeguard Chief Salary per month 703.00
J. Municipal Judge Salary per month 639.00
Provided, however, that in the event
that it shall be determined by the
City Council of the City of Miami Beach
that the duties and responsibilities of
the office of Municipal Judge require
the performance thereof on a full time
basis, and to the exclusion of the
privilege to engage in the private practice
of law, then in such event, the monthly
salary of said office shall be 853.00
K. Associate Municipal Judge Salary per month 382.00
L. Golf Course Manager
(Normandy Isle) Salary per month 682.00
Golf Course Manager
(Bayshore) Salary per month 682.00
Provided, however, that if, by direction
of the City Manager, and with the consent
of the City Council, the functions and
duties of both offices shall be performed
by the same administrative officer, then in
such event, the salary per month of such
officer shall be 739.00
Assistant Golf Course Manager Salary per month 512.00
M. City Manager Salary per month 1,851.00
N. City Attorney Salary per month 1,349.00
Together with a monthly allowance to
the City Attorney for secretarial
assistance, aum of 460.00
AND
together with a monthly allowance to City Attorney
for one full time and two part-time Assistant
City Attorneys in the sum of 1,648.00
0. Director of Personnel Salary per month 727.00
P. Assistant City Manager Salary per month 788.00
Q. If offices of Chief Building Inspector
and Assistant City Manager are
combined Salary per month 1,097.00

SECTION 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict

OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND FIXING THE RATES THEREOF"
having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of
the City Hall in said City on the 27th day of September, 1961,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, on
this the 1st day of November, 1961.
