October kicks off a fantastic fall season as we celebrate National Hispanic Heritage
Month and "spook-tacular" good times with our Halloween events.
Event: Hispanic Heritage Festival
Date: Friday, October 6, 2017
Time: 6:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m.
Location: North Shore Park (501 72 Street)
Savor the taste of traditional Latin food and dabble in a game of dominoes at the
Hispanic Heritage Festival! Carnival rides will also be on site as friends and families
dance the night away to music and live entertainment. Admission is free, carnival ride
tickets and refreshments will be for sale.
Event: Movie in the Park (celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month)
Date: Friday, October 13, 2017
Time: 7:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m. I Movie starts at sundown
Location: South Pointe Park (1 Washington Avenue)
Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month under the stars as we present the feature
film: Instructions Not Included (rated PG-13). Admission is free and refreshments will be
for sale.
Event: Safe Night of Fright
Date: Friday, October 27, 2017
Time: 5:00 p.m. -6:30 p.m. I Movie starts at sundown
Location: North Shore Park Youth Center (501 72 street)
Enjoy a safe night of fright with a movie in the park and "trunk or treat". Admission is free
and refreshments will be for sale.
Event: Social Club Halloween Party (for adults with developmental disabilities)
Date: Saturday, October 28, 2017
Time: 1 :30 p.m. -3:30 p.m.
Location: North Shore Park Youth Center Auditorium (501 72 street)
Guests are invited to wear their scariest costume and dance to Halloween music hits.
There will be a costume contest and prizes will be awarded to the top three winners. All
adult Special Population participants are welcome to attend.
Event: International Tennis Federation Seniors World Team & Individual
Championships
Dates: October 29, 2017 through November 11, 2017

Location: North Shore Park Youth Center (501 72 street) and Flamingo Park
Tennis Center (1200 Meridian Avenue)
With Miami Beach as their playground, watch the finest senior players from
Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, China, Australia, the U.K., New Zealand, Spain, the U.S. and
more show off their skills and compete in singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches.
Event: Halloween Happenings Haunted House
Date: Tuesday, October 31, 2017
Time: 6:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m.
Location: Scott Rakow Youth Center (2700 Sheridan Avenue)
Join MB Parks on Halloween night, if you dare! There will be a trick-or-treat street,
carnival games and a Haunted House! Admission for children is $5 and each additional
Haunted House ticket is $2, cash only. Refreshments will be for sale.
