RESOLUTION NO. 1083
DISTRICT SR-78 STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-78
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement
is hereby ordered to be made ; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Section 29 of the City Charter.
SR-78 The laying underground of a 21" Terra Cotta Storm
Sewer, or a 21" Concrete Storm Sewer, and necessary
manholes and appurtenances:
At or near the center of West Twenty-ninth Street,
from a point twenty-five feet East of the West line
of Evans Avenue to a point twenty-five feet West of
the East line of Prairie Avenue ;
The laying underground of a 24" Terra Cotta Storm
Sewer, or a 24" Concrete Storm Sewer, and necessary
manholes and appurtenances :
At or near the center of West Twenty-Eighth Street,
from a point twenty-five feet East of the said West
line of said Evans Avenue to a point twenty-five feet
West of the said East line of said Prairie Avenue ;
The laying underground of a 27" Terra Cotta Storm Sewer,
or a 27" Concrete Storm Sewer, and necessary manholes
and appurtenances:
At or near the center of North Meridian Avenue, from a
point five hundred and ninety-five feet South of the
South line of said West Twenty-eighth Street to a point
twenty feet North of the said South line of said West
Twenty-eighth Street;
At or near the center of said West Twenty-eighth Street,
from a point twenty-five feet West of the East line of
said North Meridian Avenue to a point twenty-five feet
West of the East line of said Prairie Avenue South of
said West Twenty-eighth Street;
At or near the center of said Prairie Avenue, from a
point two hundred and forty feet South of th e said
south line of said West 'Twenty-eighth Street to a point
twenty feet North of the said South line of said West
Twenty-eighth Street ;
At or near the center of West Thirty-fourth Street, from
a point twenty-five feet East of the West line of Ouimet
Avenue to a point twenty-five feet West of the Ease line
of said Prairie Avenue ;
The laying underground of a 30" Terra Cotta Storm Sewer,
or a 30" Concrete Storm Sewer and necessary anholes

from the said point twenty-five feet West of the said
East line of said Prairie Avenue South of said West
Twenty-eighth Street to a point twenty-five feet West
of the said Last line of said Prairie Avenue North of
said West Twenty-eighth Street ;
The laying underground of a 36" Terra Cotta Storm Sewer,
or a 36" Concrete Storm Sewer, and necessary manholes and
appurtenances:
At or near the center of said Prairie Avenue , from a
point twenty feet South of the North line of said West
Twenty-eighth Street to a point thirty feet North of the
North line of West Thirtieth Street;
The laying underground of a 42" Terra Cotta Storm Sewer,
or a 42" Concrete Storm Sewer, and necessary manholes
and appurtenances:
At or near the center of said Prairie Avenue, from a
point thirty feet North of the North line of said West
Thirtieth Street to a point twenty-five feet North of
the South line of said West Thirty-fourth Street;
The laying underground of a 48" Terra Cotta Storm Sewer,
or a 48" Concrete Storm Sewer, and necessary manholes and
appurtenances:
At or near the center of said West Thirty-fourth Street,
from the said point Twenty-five feet West of the said East
line of said Prairie A venue to a point on the West line
of Chase Avenue, produced Southerly, and five feet South
of the Southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 8, of First Addi-
tion to Mid-Golf Subdivision;
In a ten foot easement, from the said point on the said
West line of said Chase Avenue to the East line of Biscayne
Waterway; the North line of said ten foot easement being
the South line of said Lot 1;
As said Avenues, Street , Addition and Waterway are shown
on Plats recorded in Plat Book No. 4, Page 200; and in
Plat Book No. 6 , Page 111; in Plat Book No. 7, Page 161;
and in Plat Book No. 8, Pages 39 and 116 ; all of the
Public Records of Dade County, Florida.
And it is hereby directed that the material, nature,
character and size of said improvement be subsequently
determined in conformity with one of such descriptions ;
Which Storm Sewers the City Council declares to be a special benefit
to all of the property embraced within the following described district:
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of Prairie Avenue
and West Thirty-seventh Street and running Easterly along said center
line of said West Thirty-seventh Street to the center line of Pine
Tree Drive; thence Southerly along said center line of said Pine Tree
Drive to the South line of Lot 15 , Block D, Resubdivision of Blocks
C. D & E of Pairgreen Subdivision, produced Easterly; thence Westerly
along said South line of said Lot 15, and of Lot 4, of said Block D,
and said line produced to the center line of Sheridan Avenue ;
thence Southerly along the said center line of said Sheridan
Avenue to the South line of Lot 3, Block C, of said Resubdivi-
sion of Blocks C. D & E, produced Easterly; thence Westerly
along said South line of said Lot 3, and said South line pro-
duced to the East line of Lot 2, of said Block C; thence South-
erly along said East line of said Lot 2, and Lots 12, 11 and 9,
of said Block C, and said East line of said Lot 9, produced to
a point three hundred feet South of the South line of West
Twenty-eighth Street ; thence Southwesterly and parallel to said
South line of said West Twenty-eighth Street to a point three
hundred feet East of the East line of said Prairie Avenue ; thence
Southerly parallel to the East line of said Prairie Avenue to the
center line of West Twenty-third Street, produced Easterly; thence
Westerly along said center line of said West Twenty-third Street
and said center line produced to a point three hundred feet West
of the West line of North Meridian Avenue ; thence Northerly and
parallel to the said West line of said North Meridian Avenue to
a point two hundred and ten feet North of the North line of said
West Twenty-eighth Street; thence Easterly and parallel to the
said North line of said West Twenty-eighth Street to the West
line of Lot 2, Block 3, First Addition to Mid Golf Subdivision;
thence Northerly along the said West line of said Lot 2, and the
West line of Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 , 8, 9, and 10 of said Block 3;
and continuing along the West line of Block 4, of said Subdivision;
and continuing along the West line of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, of
Block 5 , of said Subdivision to the Northwest corner of said Lot
6 ; thence Westerly and parallel to the center line of West Thirty-
fourth Street to a point seven hundred and forty feet West of the
West line of said Block 5 ; thence Northeasterly to a point on the
South line of Lot 1, Block 8, of said Subdivision and one hundred
and seventy feet West of the West line of Chase Avenue ; thence
Northerly and parallel to the said West line of said Chase Avenue to
the center line of West Fortieth Street, produced Westerly; thence
Easterly along said center line of said West Fortieth Street and said
center line produced to said center line of said Prairie Avenue ; thence
Southerly along said center line of said Prairie Avenue to said center
line of said West Thirty-seventh Street, the point of beginning;
As said Avenues, Street, Drive, Subdivisions, Resubdivision and Ad-
dition are shown on Plats recorded in Plat Book No. 4, Pages 154 and
200; in Plat Book No. 6, Page 111; in Plat Book No.

Dade County, Florida.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file
with the City Clerk plans and specifications of each kind of said
improvement and an estimate of the cost of each, including an estimate
of the cost of the expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the
inspection and superintendence of the work, the preparation of plans
and specifications and estimates, the printing and publication of
notices and proceedings, the preparation of bonds, interest during
construction, legal services, abstracts, etc. , and any other expenses
necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings and work herein
provided for ; and the estimated amount to be assessed against each
thousand square feet of abutting property.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assess-
ments and bonds as Sewer Improvement SR-78, and the property against
which assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be
designated as District SR-78.
