iZESOLUTION NO. 1085
DISTRICT SR-80 STORM SEWER IMPROVEIv NT SR-80
BE IT RESOLVED BY TRE CITY COUNCIL Or THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement
is hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Section 29 of the City Charter.
SR-80 The laying underground of an 18" Terra Cotta Storm
Sewer, or an 18" Concrete Storm Sewer, and necessary
manholes and appurtenances:
In and across Dade Boulevard, in a direction perpen-
dicular to said .wade Boulevard, from the intersection
of the North line of said Dade Boulevard with the East
line of Prairie Avenue , to Collins Canal;
In and across said Dade Boulevard, in a direction per-
pendicular to said Dade Boulevard, from the intersection
of said North line of said Dade Boulevard with the West
line of said Prairie Avenue, to said Collins Canal;
The laying underground of a 21" Terra Cotta Storm Sewer,
or a 21" Concrete Storm Sewer, and necessary manholes and
appurtenances:
In and across Purdy Avenue, from a point in the North
line of Lot 37, Block 15 A, of Island View Addition, pro-
duced Easterly and twenty-five feet East of the West line
of said Purdy Avenue, to the Northeast corner of said Lot
37, of said Block 15A;
Also in an easement ten feet wide, from the said North-
east corner of said Lot 37, to Biscayne Bay; the center
line of said ten foot easement being the said North line
of said Lot 37, of said block 15 A;
The laying underground of a 24" Terra Cotta Storm Sewer,
or a 24" Concrete Storm Sewer, and necessary manholes
and appurtenances:
In and across the intersection of North Meridian Avenue
with said Dade Boulevard, in a direction perpendicular
to said Dade Boulevard and tangent to the Southwest boun-
dary line of Lot 7, of Resubdivision of Lot 1, Block 1,
of Yid Golf Subdivision, from the West line osaid North
Meridian Avenue, to said Collins Canal;
At or near the center of North Michigan Avenue , from the
center line of Nineteenth Street, to said Collins Canal;
In and across Twentieth Street, from a point at the West
line of Lot 25, of said Block 15 A, of said Island View
Addition, produced Southerly, and seven feet South of the
North line of said Twentieth Street, to the Southwest
corner of said Lot 25;

Also in an easement ten feet -wide, from the said Southwest
ip corner of said Lot 25, to a canal North of said Block 15 A;
the center of said easement being the said West line of said
Lot 25 ;

At or near the center of West Twenty-third Street,
from the West line of Alton Road to Sunset Lake;
In and across North Bay Road, from a point at the
North line of Lot 8 , Block 12, Amended Plat of
Sunset Lake Subdivision, produced Easterly, and
twenty feet East of the West line of said North Bay
Road, to the Northeast corner of said Lot 8;
Also in an easement ten feet wide, from the said
Northeast corner of said Lot 8, to Sunset Lake;
the center of said ten foot easement being the said
North line of said Lot 8;
The laying underground of a 27" Terra Cotta Storm
Sewer, or a 27" Concrete Storm Sewer, and necessary
manholes and appurtenances:
At or near the center of said Purdy Avenue , from the
said North line of said Dade Boulevard, to said Collins
Canal;
The laying underground of a 30" Terra Cotta Storm Sewer,
or a 30" Concrete Storm Sewer, and necessary manholes
and appurtenances:
In and across said North Bay Road, from a point at the
Northeast line of Lot 17, Block 15 B, of the Resubdivi-
sion of Lots 16 to 21, inclusive, of Block 15, of the
said Amended Plat of Sunset Lake Subdivision, produced
Southeasterly, and twenty feet East of the West line of
said North Bay Road, to the Northeast corner of said Lot
17 ;
Also in an easement ten feet wide, from the said North-
east corner of said Lot 17, to the canal West of said
Block 15 B; the center of said ten foot easement being
the said Northeast line of said Lot 17 ;
At or near the center of said Alton Road, from the center
line of said North Bay Road to Biscayne Waterway;
As said Avenues, Streets , Roads, Boulevard, Canals, Bay,
Lake, waterway, and Subdivision are shown on Plats re-
corded in Plat book No. 6, Page 115 ; in Plat Book No.
8, Page 52; and in 2lat Book No. 9, Pages 143, 144, and
% 145 ; all of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida;
And it is hereby directed that the material, nature,
character and size of said improvement be subsequently
determined in conformity with one of such descriptions ;
Which Storm sewers the City Council declares to be a special benefit
to all of the property embraced within the following described dis-
trict:
Beginning at a point on the South line of Dade Boulevard and twenty
feet East of Biscayne Bay and meandering and twenty feet distant
from said Biscayne Bay, the said Canal North of Block 15 A of Island
View Addition, Sunset Lake, said Biscayne Bay and Biscayne Waterway,
to a point three hundred feet East of the East line of Alton Road;

thence Southerly and parallel to the said East line
of said Alton Road to a point three hundred feet East
of the East line of North Michigan Avenue ; thence South-
erly parallel to the said East line of said. North Michi-
gan_ Avenue, to a point three hundred feet North of the
North line of said Dade Boulevard; thence Easterly paral-
lel to the said North line of said Dade Boulevard, to
a point three hundred feet West of the West line of North
Meridian Avenue ; thence Northerly and parallel to the said
West line of said North Meridian Avenue to an intersection
with the center line of West Twenty-third. Street, produced
Westerly; thence Easterly along the said center line of said.
West Twenty-third Street and the said center line produced
to a point three hundred feet East of the East line of Prai-
rie Avenue ; thence Southerly and parallel to the said East

of said Biscayne Bay;
As said. Road, Avenues, Boulevard, Canal, Waterway, Subdivi-
sions, Addition and Resubdivision, are shown on Plats record-
ed. in Plat Book No. 4, Pages 79 and 200; in Plat Book No. 6,
Page 115; in Plat Book No. 8, Page 52; and in Plat Book No.
9, Pages 143, 144, 145 and 146 ; all of the Public Records of
Dade County, Florida.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with
the City Clerk plans and specifications of each kind of said improve-
ment and an estimate of the cost of each, including an estimate of
the cost of the expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the inspec-
tion and superintendence of the work, the preparation of plans and
specifications and estimates, the printing and publication of notices
and proceedins, the preparation of bonds , interest during construction
legal services, abstracts, etc. , and any other expenses necessary and
proper in conducting the proceedings and work herein provided for;
and the estimated amount to be assessed against each thousand square
feet of abutting property.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assess-
ments and bonds as Sewer Improvement SR-80, and the property against
which assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be
designated as District SR-80.
