AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA TO DELETE REFERENCE TO
SPECIFIC MONETARY AMOUNT WHEN DEFINING COST OF GROUP
HEALTH INSURANCE; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 2-55 I (b) of the Code of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida be and the same is amended to read:
(b) City. The contribution of the City on behalf of
the members shall be one-half of the cost of the
benefits provided for in the agreements as such costs
are determined by the Board. but net €e exeeed six
hundred dellaes per year fee an agreement eeveeing a
member enly; see €e emeeed eae €het sanel eight hundred
dellaes per year fee agreements eeifeeing a member and

SECTION 2: REPEALER
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: SEVERABILITY
If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or
word of this ordinance is declared invalid,. the remaining
provisions of this ordinance shall not be affected.
SECTION 4: EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall take effect 10 days after its adoption, on
Februara_ 2 , 1984 .
