Ordinance 1909ORDINANCE NO. 1909 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REGULATING OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES AND PERMITS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Section 20.17 of the Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph thereto immediately following paragraph (106), to be numbered and to read as follows: "(106.1) JEWELERS, shall be required to pay merchant's license tax determined as follows: (a) When the maximum value of stock of goods carried does not exceed $1,000.00 $ 50.00 (b) Each additional $1,000.00 or fractional part thereof 7.00 (c) Provided, however, that the maximum fee shall not exceed 1,000.00" SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective November 1, 1972 upon its passage and posting as required by law.
