Ordinance 1916ORDINANCE NO. 1916 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1605 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA ESTABLISHING A COMPENSATION PLAN FOR OFFICES AND POSITIONS IN THE UNCLASSIFIED SERVICE, AS AN EMERGENCY MEASURE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That portion of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1605 reading as follows: "J. B I -WEEKLY COMPENSATION RANGE MINIMUM MAXIMUM 1110 Chief of Police A 53 838.50 1006.70 1120 Assistant Chief of Police A 48 670.30 801.26 1130 Police Division Major A 47 640.34 765.14" be and the same is amended to read as follows: 1110 Chief of Police A 53.5 856.55 1029.27 1120 Assistant Chief of Police A 48.5 684.98 819.31 1130 Police Division Major A 47.5 654.41 783.22 SECTION 2. The requirements and provisions of Part IV, Chapter 23, Florida Statutes, pertaining to salary structures and salary plans for law enforcement officers are hereby incorporated herein by reference; and there is hereby appropriated from the general fund of the City such sum or sums as shall be necessary to comply therewith. SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. 11j. J. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective as of May 1, 1972. SECTION 5. This ordinance is hereby adopted as an emergency ordinance under the provisions of Section 9 of the City Charter. PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of June , 1972.
