AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 789
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL CLASSIFICATIONS OF
POSITIONS IN THE CLASSIFIED SERVICE OF.
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND
PROVIDING COMPENSATION THEREFOR, PURSUANT
TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE ACT,
AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF
THIS ORDINANCE, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AS AN EMERGENCY MEASURE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That portion of Section 1, Part III, Public Safety, of Ordinance

SECTION 3. The requirements and provisions of Part IV, Chapter 23, Florida
Statutes, pertaining to salary structures and salary plans for
law enforcement officers are hereby incorporated herein by reference; and there
is hereby appropriated from the general fund of the City such sum or sums as
shall be necessary to comply therewith.
SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall become effective as of May 1, 1972.
SECTION 6. This ordinance is hereby adopted as an emergency ordinance under
the provisions of Section 9 of the City Charter.
