AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 17B OF THE CITY CODE OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA BY ADDING A NEW SECTION
17B-31 (m) REQUIRING OWNERS OF ALL BUILDINGS TO REMOVE
UNAUTHORIZED SIGNS , POSTERS AND GRAFFITI FROM THE
BUILDING' S EXTERIOR; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 17B of the Miami Beach City Code is
hereby amended to add a new Section 17B-31 (m) to read as follows :
Section 17B-31 Responsibilities of Owners and
Occupants
(m) Every owner of a building shall be
responsible for removing unauthorized
signs , posters and graffiti from the
building' s exterior ; those signs
authorized and/or exempted by the City of
Miami Beach' s Zoning Ordinance are
exempted from this section.
SECTION 2: REPEALER
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: SEVERABILITY
If any section, part of section, paragraph , clause, phrase, or
word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining
provisions of this ordinance shall not be affected.
SECTION 4: EFFECTIVE DATE
This Ordinance shall take effect 10 days after its adoption, on
May 11__- , 1985 .
