AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 45-20.2 OF THE CITY CODE
TO INCREASE THE SANITARY SEWER SERVICE
CHARGE IMPOSED BY THE CITY UPON ALL
PREMISES CONNECTED TO OR USING THE CITY'S
SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM, FROM SEVENTY-
EIGHT CENTS PER THOUSAND GALLONS TO
NINETY-FIVE CENTS PER THOUSAND GALLONS,
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH. PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: INCREASE OF RATES
Pursuant to Section 28 (2) of the Miami Beach City Charter, the City Commission of
the City of Miami Beach hereby amends the second sentence of Sec. 45-20.2 of the
City Code as follows:
"Such Sanitary Sewer service charge shall be in an amount equal to 78* cents 95(P
per thousand gallons of water delivered to the consumer as shown by the water bills
rendered in accordance with this chapter."
SECTION 2:
That the sanitary service charges as set forth in Section 1 of this Ordinance is to be
applied to all accounts on or after November 1, 1985.
SECTION 3:
All other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: SEVERABILITY:
If any section, sub-section, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of this Ordinance is,
for any reason, held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and such hold shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this
Ordinance.
SECTION 5:
This ordinance shall become effective 10 days after adoption on
October 12 , 1985.
