AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REPEALING
SECTIONS 15 AND 17 OF THE MIAMI BEACH CITY
CHARTER ENTITLED RESPECTIVELY, "APPOINTMENT OF
CITY ASSESSOR; DUTIES" AND "APPOINTMENT OF TAX
COLLECTOR; DUTIES GENERALLY; DEPUTY
COLLECTORS" , SAID SECTIONS HAVING BEEN
SUPERSEDED BY STATE LAW; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1.
That Sections 15 and 17 of the Miami Beach City Charter , which
read as follows:

powers as the tam eelleeter himselE-
are hereby repealed in their entirety having been superseded by
State law.
SECTION 2. REPEALER.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby repealed.

SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY.
If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance is
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent
jurisdiction, then said holding shall in no way affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE.
This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days after its adoption,
on April 11 , 1987 .
