A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF
THE NAMES OF STANLEY ARKIN AND TRUDY CEJAS TO THE
DADE COUNTY PERFORMING ARTS TRUST NOMINATING
COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is represented on the Dade County Performing Arts
Trust; and
WHEREAS, the term of two representatives on the Performing Arts Trust will expire on
December 31, 1996; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Miami Beach to continue to be
represented on the Performing Arts Trust; and
WHEREAS, the names of Stanley Arkin and Trudy Cejas are required to be submitted to
the Nominating Committee pursuant to the Articles oflncorporation of the Performing Arts Trust;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby approve the submission of Stanley Arkin and Trudy Cejas to the Dade County
Performing Arts Trust Nominating Committee.

REAPPOINT T OF STANLEY ARKIN AND TRUDY CEJAS
TO THE DADE OUNTY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER TRUST
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
The Administration recommends that the City Commission approve the submission of the names
of Mr. Stanley Arkin and Ms. Trudy Cejas to the Dade County Performing Arts Center Trust
Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee must receive these names by October 3, 1996.
BACKGROUND
The City of Miami Beach's representatives to the Performing Arts Center Trust are Commissioner
Neisen Kasqin, Stanley Arkin and Ms. Trudy Cejas. Commissioner Kasdin's term will expire on
December 31, 1998. Ms. Trudy Cejas and Mr. Stanley Arkin were appointed to serve on the
Performing Arts Center Trust on January 5, 1994. The terms of Ms. Cejas and Mr. Arkin are due
to expire on December 31, 1996. Accordingly, the approval of these names and any other additional
name(s) by the City Commission for submission to the Nominating Committee is hereby being
requested. In accordance with the Trust's Articles of Incorporation, the Trust will resubmit these
names on their nominating slate back to the City Commission for fmal approval at which time a City
of Miami Beach Resolution will be presented for official ratification of these reappointments.
CONCLUSION
The Administration recommends that the Mayor and City Commission approve the submission of
the Ms. Cejas' and Mr. Arkin's names to the Performing Arts Center Trust Nominating Committee.
