RESOLUTION NO. 96-22188
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA ELECTING
COMMISSIONER NANCY LIEBMAN AS VICE-MAYOR FOR
A TERM COMMENCING NOVEMBER 13, 1996 THROUGH
AND INCLUDING FEBRUARY 28, 1997.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.04 of the Miami Beach City Charter, the City
Commission shall elect from its membership a Vice-Mayor who, during the absence or disability of
the Mayor, shall perform the duties of Mayor; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has established a policy of rotating the position of Vice-
Mayor every four months; and
WHEREAS, for the term commencing November 13, 1996 through and including February
28, 1997, the City Commission has elected Commissioner Nancy Liebman to serve as Vice-Mayor
of the City of Miami Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that Commissioner Nancy
Liebman is hereby elected as Vice-Mayor of the City of Miami Beach for a term commencing
November 13, 1996 through and including February 28, 1997.
