96-22206 RESO RESOLUTION NO. 96-22206 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING PATRICE F. BEHNSTEDT AS A MEMBER OF THE PERSONNEL BOARD TO REPRESENT GROUP II EMPLOYEES. WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, a., Certificate of the Clerk and Inspectors who conducted an election on November l~, 1996, for the purpose of electing a member of the Personnel Board to represent G~oup II of the City employeesi and WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission have examined the Certificate and herein wish to accept the results of the electioni and WHEREAS, there were a total of 46 votes casti with 28 votes cast for Patrice F. Behnstedt. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Certificate of the results of the Group II Personnel Board election are hereby accepted and that Patrice F. Behnstedt, having received the highest number of votes cast, is found to be duly elected to represent Group II employees. BACKGROUND Per Ordinance No. 93-2868 an election was held to fill a vacancy on the Personnel Board to represent Group \I employees (clerical and executive positions). The ballot contained two candidates. An election was held on November 12,- 1996. There were a total of 46 ballots submitted, with 28 votes for Ms. Patrice F. Behnstedt. Having received the highest number of votes, Ms. Behnstedt is duly elected to represent Group II employees on the Personnel Board. The Certification of the Election is attached. CONCLUSION The City Commission should adopt the attached resolution, accepting the Certification of the results and find Ms. Patrice F. Behnstedt duly elected to represent Group \I employees.
