96-21906 RESO RESOLUTION NO. 96-21906 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CHECKING ACCOUNT AT SUNTRUST BANK ENTITLED "CITY OF MIAMI BEACH FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS" TO PROVIDE FOR RE:IMBURSEMENTS TO ART:ISTS AND REQU:IR:ING TWO S:IGNATURES OF DESIGNEES OF THE RECREATION, CULTURE AND PARKS DEPARTMENT FOR THE EXECUT:ION OF VOUCHERS. BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Section 1. All withdrawal of funds from the checking account entitled "City of Miami Beach Festival of the Arts" shall be upon official vouchers duly prepared and bearing the signatures of two of the designees as described on Attachment "A". BACKGROUND: Patron donations are estimated to be $20,000 for the 1996 Festival of the Arts. Approximately 270 artists will be participating in this year's festival. Reimbursements to artists for purchases by patrons will be facilitated at the festival site through the establishment of this checking account. ANALYSIS: Vouchers executed for this checking account will require two (2) signatures of designees of the Recreation, Culture and Parks Department.
