A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH RESOLUTION NO. 94-21259
CREATING AN AUDIT COMMITTEE,
PROVIDING THAT MEMBERSHIP OF THE
AUDIT COMMITTEE SHALL INCLUDE ONE
MEMBER OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
BUDGET ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, in City of Miami Beach Resolution No. 94-21259, the City Commission
created an Audit Committee with the power to review activities of the City's independent auditor in
the planning and conducting of the annual City audit and other audits for the City of Miami Beach;
and
WHEREAS, in City of Miami Beach Resolution 95-21646, the powers of the Audit
Committee were expanded to include the power to review, comment upon and make
recommendations (where appropriate) concerning the activities of the City's internal audit functions;
and
WHEREAS, in order to more effectively accomplish its stated task, membership of the
Audit Committee should mclude an individual serving on the City of Miami Beach Budget Advisory
Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that City of Miami Beach
Resolution No. 94-21259 creating an Audit Committee, paragraph 6 thereof, is hereby amended to
read as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND
CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it hereby creates an Audit Committee to be
composed of individuals (includin~ one member of the City of Miami Beach Bud~et
Advisory Committee) designated by the City Commission whose duties shall be to
supenise fiftd tiircet review. comment upon and make recommendations (where
appropriate) concernin~ activities of both the City's independent auditor and City's

AMENDMENT TO CITY RESOLUTION CREATING AUDIT
COMMITTEE - MEMBERSHIP TO INCLUDE BUDGET ADVISORY
COMMITTEE MEMBER
The attached Resolution has been prepared as a housekeeping matter for the purpose of
codifying membership on the City of Miami Beach's Audit Committee to include a member of the
City's Budget Advisory Committee -- service of a member of the City's Budget Advisory Committee
on the Audit Committee will assist it in accomplishing its stated task of reviewing activities of both
the City's independent auditor and City's internal audit functions. Language is also included in the
Resolution reflecting a 1995 amendment to the Audit Committee's powers concerning the authority
to review, comment upon, and make recommendations upon (where appropriate) activities of the
City's internal audit functions.
The City of Miami Beach Audit Committee has reviewed and approved the attached
Resolution.
