2001 SPECIAL OLYMPICS STATE INDOOR GAMES
It is with great pride and pleasure that the Parks and Recreation Department informs you of the recent
success of our Special Olympics Athletes. Four of our athletes were chosen to compete in Bowling at
the Special Olympics Indoor Games in Daytona Beach, Florida held on December 7 - 9, 2001.
These four athletes were among hundreds of athletes from throughout Miami-Dade County who
participated in the Special Olympics Local Games held October 20, 2001, at Cloverleaf Bowling Lanes.
Their hard work and determination enabled them to qualify for the State Games.
Our Special Olympics Athletes are proud of their success and look forward to the oppommity of
representing the City of Miami Beach in Daytona.
