WINTER/SPRING YOUTH SPORTS EXPO 2002

The Parks and Recreation Department cordially invites you to attend the Youth Sports Expo on
Sunday, January 27, 2002 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Flamingo Park, 14th Street and Meridian
Avenue.
The Youth Sports Expo will mark the beginning of our Winter/Spring 2002 Miami Beach Athletics
Program with registration for Intramural T-ball, Coach Pitch, Baseball, and Team Basketball, Soccer
fundamentals, Roller Hockey and Teen Flag Football. Florida International University Baseball
Coach Danny Price and team members will be present and will provide free instructional clinics.
In addition to the taking of registrations for the above mentioned activities and the instructional
clinics, there will be free food and plenty of fun for the entire family, including music, entertainment
and amusement activities (Moonwalk, slides, rock climbing wall and Velcro wall).
Your participation, as well as that of your children, family and friends, is greatly welcomed. Come join
us on Sunday, January 27th for a fun-filled day of activities and amusements for everyone!

Come join us as we kick-off the 2002 Winter Athletic Season with
FREE games, music, instructional clinics and food. Registration will
be held for the 2002 Winter Athletic Programs: Intramural T-ball,
Coach Pitch, Baseball, Soccer Fundamentals, Teen Flag Football,
Basketball and Roller Hockey.
Priority registration for Miami Beach residents the first hour of the event.
Additional fegistration January 28 - Febuary 1 at the following locations:
Scott Rakow Youth Center: 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Police Athletic League: 11 :30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
North Shore Park Field: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Registration fee: $50 residents (scholarships available) $100 non-residents
VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED!
Proof of child's age, residency and participant's report card are mandatory:
One of the following: Lease or tax statement or
Two of the following: Voters card and picture 10,
passport, drivers license or utility bill.
