Gonzalez City Manager FIRE DEPARTMENT REORGANIZATION AND PROMOTIONS Date: February 6, 2002 The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to inform you of some recent promotions and staff changes in the command staff of our Fire Department. After careful consideration, Eric Yuhr has been promoted to the position of Assistant Fire Chief in charge of Fire Operations. In addition, Chief Yuhr will continue to serve as the City's Emergency Management Coordinator. Chief Yuhr has held progressively responsible position in the Fire Department, most recently as Division Chief in the Suppression Division. He has been with the City for 15 years. Division Chief Edward Delfavero has been appointed to the Fire Prevention Division and will serve as the Fire Marshal. Division Chief Delfavero has held progressively responsible position in the Fire Department, most recently as the Division Chief in the Rescue Division. He has been with the City for 21 years. Javier Otero has been promoted to Division Chief in the EMS/Rescue Division. Division Chief Otero has held progressively responsible position, most recently as the Fire Captain in the EMS/Rescue Division. He has been with the City for 13 years. Division Chief Russell VVhite has been re-assigned to the Suppression Division supervisor for the "B" shift. Russell has been with the City for 18 years. Please join me in congratulating these men.
