A RESOLUTION OF THE MA VOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AUTHORIZATION TI)
CHANGE BANK ACCOUNTS AT THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTiIO!'i
CENTER AND THE JACKIE GLEASON THEATER FROM SU 1'1
BANK/MIAMI, TO CITIBANK FEDERAL SAVINGS BANK.
WHEREAS, the current Resolution No. 93-20839 established bank accounts wi1h
Sun Bank/Miami for the Miami Beach Convention Center and the Jackie Gleason Theater
of the Performing Arts; and
WHEREAS, recently Spectacor Management Group obtained through negotiat!or s
an advertising contract with Citibank Federal Savings Bank which affords Citibank certai n
advertising rights at the Miami Beach Convention Center and at the Jackie Gleasc n
Theater of the Performing Arts, in consideration for payments to the Miami Beac h
Convention Center and the Jackie Gleason Theater of the Performing Arts of $56,000 ovnr
a twenty-one (21) month period that began on December 31, 1996; and
WHEREAS, an additional provision in the contract requires that all bank accoIJn1 s
at the Miami Beach Convention Center and at the Jackie Gleason Theater of th e
Performing Arts be handled by Citibank Federal Savings Bank.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT DUL V RESOLVED BY THE MA VOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and CiiV
Commission hereby give authorization for approval to change bank accounts at the Miami
Beach Convention Center and the Jackie Gleason Theater of the Performing Arts from Su n
Bank/Miami to Citibank Federal Savings Bank.

ADMINISTRA TION RECOMMENDATION:
The Administration recommends approval of the attached Resolution deleting Sun Bank/Miami, alld
adding Citibank Federal Savings Bank.
BACKGROUND:
The current Resolution 93-20839 established bank accounts with Sun Bank/Miami, for the ~[iarni
Beach Convention Center and Jackie Gleason Theater of the Performing Arts. Recently SMG hlS
obtained, through negotiations, an advertising contract with Citibank Federal Savings Bank whi ::h
affords Citibank certain advertising rights at the Miami Beach Convention Center and Jackie Gleasl,m
Theater of the Performing Arts in consideration for payments to the Miami Beach Convention G:~nt~r
