AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 14-A-12 OF THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, BY
PROVIDING FOR A REDUCTION EFFECTIVE OCTOBER
1, 1973, OF ONE-HALF (1/2) OF THE INCREASE OF
THE FEES IMPOSED FOR THE COLLECTION OF WASTE
AND GARBAGE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING
OCTOBER 1, 1972
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Section 14-A-12 of the Code of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby
amended by adding the following paragraph at the end thereof:
"All fees levied pursuant to Section
14-A-12 of Chapter 14-A of the Code
of the City of Miami Beach, as amend-
ed by Ordinance No. 1934, shall be
reduced by an amount equal to one-half
(1/2) of the increase over the fees
existing prior to the adoption of
Ordinance No. 1934. This reduction in
fee shall be applied to all affected
waste collection accounts as a credit
on the bill for service during the
1973-1974 fiscal year, which becomes
due October 1, 1973. There shall be
no refunds paid in cash during the
1972-1973 fiscal year, and those active
accounts which have not paid the waste
collection fee for the fiscal year com-
mencing October 1, 1972, are required
to pay the full fee for which they have
been billed together with all penalties
set forth herein for late payment."
SECTION 2. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall go into effect immediately,
upon passage and posting as required by law.

having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the 18th day of January, 1973,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
