AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1901,
BEING AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CREA-
TION AND MAINTENANCE OF A RETIREMENT SYSTEM
FOR GENERAL EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Paragraph (c) of Section 6.03 of Ordinance
No. 1901, being an ordinance providing for the
creation and maintenance of a retirement system for general
employees of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, reading as
follows:
"(c) It is the intention of this Ordinance that
contributions be set at such levels, as recommended by
the Actuary designated by the Board, as to provide for
a systematic amortization of any unfunded accrued
liability over a period of thirty (30) years from the
date as of which such liability is incurred."
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(c) It is the intention of this Ordinance that
contributions be set at such levels, as recommended by
the Actuary designated by the Board, as to provide for
a systematic amortization of any unfunded accrued
liability over a period of forty (40) years from the
date as of which such liability is incurred."
SECTION 2. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall go into effect upon
passage and posting, as required by law.

Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the 8th day of March, 1973,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
