SUBJECT: 2ND ANNUAL MIAMI BEACH MOUTH MUSIC FESTIVAL
The purpose of this LTC is to notify the City Commission of the exciting partnership
between the City of Miami Beach and The Rhythm Foundation to produce the 2nd Annual
Miami Beach Youth Music Festival. Scores of local youth musicians will have a chance
to showcase their talents and compete for a coveted spot on the famous North Beach
Band Shell stage.
A pan& composed of pioneers in the music industry will select the acts based on video
submissions of up to two songs along with a completed application. Bands and individual
performers interested in auditioning must be 18 years and younger and either reside in
Miami Beach, attend a Miami Beach School or be the child of a City of Miami Beach
employee. New this year, aspiring artists of all ages will have an opportunity to submit
designs to be featured on the Festival's official t -shirt.
Those who wish to audition must submit a video recording (YouTube links encouraged)
of up to two songs via email to info(a�northbeachbandshell.com by Friday, December 15,
2017 at 5:00 pm, along with a completed application that can be found at
www.northbeachbandshell.com. Festival t -shirt design submissions can also be emailed
to infoenorthbeachbandshell.com by the same December 15 deadline. Selected
performers will be announced on January 19, 2018.
On March 17, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm the place to be is the North Beach Band
Shell as the youth performers take the stage to rock out under the stars with a special
guest closing out the show. Further details on the Festival will be distributed as the date
approaches.
