RESOLUTION NO. 1354
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That Whereas, application having been
made to the War Department by Mrs. George Chahoon, Jr. ,
for permission to construct three groynes in the Atlantic
Ocean, adjacent to Lots 1, 2 and the North half of Lot 3,
Block 37 of the Ocean Front Property of the Miami Beach
Improvement Company in Miami Beach, Florida, as shown on
a set of drawings designated Sheet 1 of 2 and Sheet 2 of
2, prepared by J. M. Braxton, ConsultingEngineer, under
date of April 30th, 1926, to accompany said application to
the viar Department for permit for said construction.
Section 2: That this City Council does hereby waive
all objections to said proposed construction and does here-
by authorize Claude A. Renshaw, as City Manager of said City,
to sign and deliver in behalf of said City, a written waiver
of objections to the aforesaid construction, if said con-
struction is acceptable to him.

is being made for a Government permit to construct three groynes
in front of her property between 42d and 43d streets, Miami Beach,
Florida. The details of proposed construction are shown in the
attached drawing.
A waiver of objection is requested from your
Honorable Body for doing this work in accordance with the plans
shown on the drawing.

I notice thet your fence on 43rd
Street at the rhore line of the Atlantic Ocean
extends, at present, approximately 12i feet
into street cpace and I az informed that you
contemplate extending this fence 7 feet farther
into street space.
I would call your attention to the
fact that 43rd Street is a Public Street, which
has been legally dedicated to the City of Miami.
Beach and that any encroachments thereon are in
violation of the law.
I would reeueet that it the time when
you are making alterations to your fence line
that you reconetruct this fence along the North
line of your property and cease to encroach on
the City street at this Point.
