AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO.
789 SO AS TO AMEND THE EFFECTIVE DATE FOR SALARY
INCREASES FOR THE CLASSIFIED CLASSIFICATIONS OF
WASTE DRIVER SUPERVISOR, EQUIPMENT MECHANIC, AND
TRANSITIONAL EQUIPMENT MECHANIC, WHICH WAS
INADVERTENTLY OMITTED WHEN ORDINANCE NO. 79-2159
WAS PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION;
AND PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION OF SAME AS AN EMERGENCY
MEASURE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Salary Ordinance #789 of the City of Miami Beach is hereby
amended by providing for a retroactive effective date of October 1,
1978 for salary increases for the following classifications:
BI -WEEKLY COMPENSATION
JOB CLASSIFICATION JOB CLASS NO. MINIMUM MAXIMUM
Equipment Mechanic 2035 500.01 584.41
Transitional Equipment Mechanic 2220 500.01 584.41
Waste Driver Supervisor 2285 464.05 520.31
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That if any portion of this ordinance shall be declared invalid, the
remaining portions shall have the same force and effect as though such
invalid portion or portions had not been included.
SECTION 4. That the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach has found and
determined that a public emergency exists affecting life, health,
property or public safety, this ordinance is hereby adopted as
an emergency measure and shall go into effect immediately upon its
adoption.
