RESOLUTION tO. 13999
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,FLORIDA:
Section 1.
That a Sanitary Sewer has been constructed and is
owned and operated by the City of Miami Beach, Florida ,
in the Alley in Block 17 of the First Addition to
Commercial Subdivision as per Plat recorded in Plat
Book No. 6, Page 30, of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida.
Section 2.
That all owners of the following property abutting
the aforesaid Alley--Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Block
17 of the said First Addition to Commercial Subdivi-
sion and Lot 7 of Block 17 of the Subdivision of the
West half of Blocks 17 , 40 and 45 , as per plat re-
corded ire Plat Book do. 6, Page 165, of the Public re-
cords of Dade County, Florida, except the owners of the
lots which have already been connected therewith, be
and they are hereby ordered to connect their several
properties with the sewer hereinbefore mentioned, con-
structed, owned and operated by the said City, and
that such connection to be made within ten days after
the first publication of sudh notice, and that upon
default of compliance with this order the City Council
will contract for or make such connections at such dis-
tances and in accordance with the specifications now on
file in the office of the City Engineer of said City,
the whole cost of the several connections to be, by
said City Council, made a lien against the particular
property with which the connection is made , of the
same extent and character as the liens in the Charter
of said City, provided for special assessments, which
charge shall be forthwith due and payable with the. sam-
penalties and ,-;pith the same right of collection and
sale and forfeiture as obtain for City Taxes.
Section 3.
That a notice in substantially the following form be
published at intervals of seven day.: in the Miami
Herald, a newspaper of general circulation in the City
of Miami Beach, Florida.
"NOTICE TO CONNECT WITH SEWERS
Notice is hereby given that all owners of Lots 1, 2, 3,
4 and 5 of Block 17 of the First Addition to Commercial
Subdivision as per plat recorded in Plat Book Jo. 6, Page
30 of the Public Records of Dade Cou_.ity, Florida and Lot 7 ,
Block 17 of the Subdivision of the :lest half of Block 17 ,
40 and 45 , as per plat recorded in Plat Book do. 6, Page
165 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida, except
the owners of lots which have already been connected with
a sewer, be and they are hereby ordered to connect their
several properties on or before July 1, 1926, with a sewer
constructed in aforesaid Alley, and owned and operated by
the City of Miami Beach; otherwise the City Council will
contract for or make such connection and the whole cost of
such connection will be made a lien against the particular
property with which the connection is made of the same
extent and character as the lien in the City Charter prov-
ided for special assessments which charge shall be forth-
with due and payable , with the same penalties and with the
same rights of collection and sale and forfeiture as obtain
for City Taxes" .
