AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 789
BEING THE CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES SALARY
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE CLASSIFICATION OF
ELEVATOR INSPECTOR; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the following line be added to Section 1, Group IV, of
Ordinance No. 789:
GROUP IV: MIAMI BEACH EMPLOYEES BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION
BI-WEEKLY COMPENSATION
JOB CLASSIFICATION JOB CLASS NO. MINIMUM MAXIMUM
Elevator Inspector 3173 $1,027.19 $1,201.67
SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be
and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: If any section, subsection, clause, or provision of this ordinance
is held invalid, the remainder shall not be affected by such
invalidity.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall become effective 10 days after adoption
on August 3 , 1991.

SUBJECT: PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO CLASSIFIED SALARY ORDINANCE NO. 789
Attached, for your approval and adoption, is an amendment to
Classified Salary Ordinance No. 789 establishing the classification
of Elevator Inspector.
This classification was requested by the Building Director and
approved by the Personnel Director, the Miami Beach Employees
Benevolent Association, and the Personnel Board.
The establishment of an Elevator Inspector classification would
provide an appropriate and consistent job classification title and
specification for an individual performing the necessary function of
elevator inspection.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt the Ordinance establishing the classification of Elevator
Inspector.
