AN. ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 44 OF THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, SO AS TO
PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE IN PENALTY FOR OVER-
TIME PARKING IN A METERED ZONE , IF PAID AFTER
FORTY-EIGHT HOURS OF ISSUANCE, FROM $5. 00 TO
$6 . 00; AND AN INCREASE IN PENALTY WHEN SUMMONS
OR WARRANT IS ISSUED, AFTER THIRTY DAYS OR
FIVE TICKETS , WHICHEVER COMES FIRST, FROM
$12 . 00 TO $13. 00, EACH TICKET.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION -1 : That that portion of Chapter 44 , Section 44-43 (a) , of -
the Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, reading
as follows :
" (1) If paid within seven days of
issuance, but. after forty-eight
hours, where no summons or
warrant has been issued 5. 00
(2) When summons or warrant is issued,
after thirty days or five
tickets, whichever comes first,
each ticket 12. 00"
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
" (1) If paid within seven days of
issuance, but after forty-eight
hours, where no summons or
warrant has been issued 6. 00
(2) When summons or warrant is issued,
after thirty days or five
tickets, whichever comes first,
each ticket , . 13. 00"
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon
passage and posting as required by law.
