Ordinance 79-2171ORDINANCE 79-2171 AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF THE MIAMI BEACH TOURIST DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY TO MIAMI BEACH VISITOR AND CONVENTION AUTHORITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That Section 41-63 of the City Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, which reads: There is hereby created and established a new tourist development authority to be known as the Miami Beach Tourist Development Authority, hereinafter referred to as the "Authority," be and the same is hereby amended to read: There is hereby created and established a new tourist development authority to be known as the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority. SECTION 2: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent that same are inconsistent with this Ordinance. SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall go into effect upon its passage in accordance with law. PASSED and ADOPTED this 19th day of Attest: City C e k September , 1979.
