AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-6 OF CHAPTER 2
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION OF POSITIONS OF
ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF AND DIVISION CHIEFS IN
THE CITY' S FIRE DEPARTMENT, AS AN EMERGENCY
MEASURE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That that portion of Section 2-6 of Chapter 2 of the
Code of the City of Miami Beach reading as follows:
"G. PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT
1. Police chief--police department director
2 . Fire chief--fire department director"
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"G. PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT
1. Police chief--police department director
2 . Fire chief--fire department director
(a) Assistant fire chief
(b) Division chief (6) "
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 That the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, having found and determined that a public
emergency exists affecting life, health, property or public
safety, this Ordinance is hereby adopted as an emergency measure
and shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
