A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING
THE (P PER OF THE AMERICAN RED CROSS TO
TAXE OVER AIL RELIEF WORK IN' Tim. CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH.
WHEREAS the City of Miami Beach has experienced. a
Tropical storm of considerable violance and stands in need
of immediate emergency relief to some of its citizens, aid.
WHIREAS, the Ameridan Red CMDSS has offered to take
over all forms of emergency relief work at present being
handled by the City of Miami Beach and, its citizens in
one form of committee or another,
NOW, TH —m ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the offer of the
said. American Red Cross to definitely and, completely take
over all emergency relief work for the citizens of the
City of Miami. Beach, be accepted with the understanding thtt
they begin functioning at once.
BE IT RESOLVED FUiTER that the said. City Council
express their appreciation at this time of this prompt
proffer of assistance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of September, A.D.,
1926.
