Resolution 1468 " 1040001 I °2 ft RE 0LUTION No. 1468 A RESOLUTION 02 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH EXTENDING THEIR THANKS TO THE CITIZENS COMMITTEE FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE DURING THE EMERGENCY FOLLOWING THE HURRICANE. WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, Florida has been sub- jected to a vast amount of material damage, some small loss of life and considerable personal injuries due to the Tropical hurricane of September 17th and 18th, 1926, and . WHEREAS, during the emergency, excitement, arrd more or less chaotic condition following said hurricane, the organization known as the Citizens Committee under the Chairmanship of Mr. Thomas J. Pancoast, was quickly organized and did invaluable work in aiding and assisting the City Manager, Mr. Renshaw, and the City Council of the City of Miami Beach in their efforts to immediately relieve suffering and extend emergency relief measures, and in cleaning up the City. NOT, TH'ii;REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the said City, that they, together with City Manager Renshaw, extend herewith their hearty thanks to said organization known as the Citizens Committee for their splendid work and co-operation.
