AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1901 BEING
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION AND
MAINTENANCE OF THE RETIREMENT SYSTEM FOR
GENERAL EMPLOYEES AND ELECTED OFFICIALS OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That all that portion of Section 5. 01 (a) immediately
following the sentence, "Any Member may retire on a
normal service retirement allowance upon the termination of his
normal retirement date, " pertaining to automatic retirement at
age 65 , and providing for conditional extensions of time thereafter,
be and the same are hereby deleted.
SECTION 2 : All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 : This Ordinance shall become effective upon its passage
in accordance with law.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 16th day of November , 1977 .
