Ordinance 78-2140 ORDINANCE NO. 78-2140
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE CODE OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, BY PROHIBITING
BICYCLING, ROLLER SKATING OR SKATE-BOARDING ON
LINCOLN ROAD MALL; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 25 of the Code of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, be and the same is hereby amended by adding a
new section thereto immediately after Section 25-59 .2, to be
numbered and to read as follows:
"Section 25-59 . 3 .
It shall be unlawful for any person to engage
in bicycling, roller skating or skate-boarding
in, on or upon any portion of Lincoln Road Mall
lying west of the westerly line of Washington
Avenue to the easterly line of Alton Road. "
SECTION 2 : That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall go into effect ten days after
its passage.
