AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 8, SEC. 8-3 OF
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA;
PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN BUILDING PERMIT FEES;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. Chapter 8, Sec. 8-3 (d) of the Miami Beach City
Code is hereby amended as follows:
Sec. 8-3. SCHEDULE OF PERMIT FEES.
(d) BUILDING PERMIT FEES:
(Fees listed here do not include plumbing, electri-
cal or mechanical installations or use and occu-
pancy fees)
(1) NEW BUILDING AND/OR ADDITIONS:
For each 100 sq. ft. or fractional part or floor $99 $ 5.50
area -
Minimum fees( $20.00
Except that for buildingsfor storage and industri-
al uses of the Group E and F Occupancies as de-
fined in the South Florida Building Code, the
fee shall be:
For each 100 sq. ft., or fractional part of floor
$ 5.50
area up to 20,000 sq. ft
For each additional 100 sq. ft., or fractional
part of floor area thereafter $ 3.700
$ 3.25
Minimum fee $20.00
Except that for greenhouses and buildings for
agricultural uses (non-residential) when located
on the premises so used, screen enclosures and
trailer additions:
For each 100 sq. ft. or fractional part of floor
area $ 3=08 $ 3.25
Minimum fee $10.00
(2) NEW CONSTRUCTION OTHER THAN AS SPECIFIED HEREIN:
(WATER TOWERS, PYLONS, BULK STORAGE -TANK FOUNDATIONS,
SEA WALLS, BULKHEADS, UNUSUAL LIMITED -USE BUILDINGS,
FREE-STANDING RIGID CANOPIES, MARQUEES AND SIMILAR CON-
STRUCTION)
For each $1,000 of estimated cost or fractional

Minimum permit fee $15.00
Metal -wood and/or prefab storage sheds, first
100 sq. ft $10.00
Each additional 100 sq. ft $ 7.50
(Except for each service station underground -
storage tank and each approved fallout shelter
which conforms to the specifications established
by the Civil defense and mobilization agency
and the South Florida Building Code) $I'5-08 $20.00

(3) ALTERATIONS AND REPAIRS TO BUILDING$ AND OTHER

SECTION 2. That Chapter 8, Sec. 8-3(g) is amended to read as
follows:

SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY. If any section, sub -section, sentence,
clause, phrase or portion of this Ordinance is, for
any reason, held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and
independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. REPEALER. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall become effective thisl5thday of
