RESOLUTION NO. 1525
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF jII BEACH , FLORIDA:
THAT WHEREAS, JOHN S. COLLINSwas a
pioneer and an active force in the conversion of the
mangrove swamos of this city into the beauty spot and
playground. of America and a live , thriving city , excit-
ing the envy of mankind seeking a healthful and happy
place of abode.
AND WHEREAS this is thEIGHTY - NINTH
Birthday of this Honorable Father of Miami Beach,
THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by this City Couwil
that ' a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the
Nonorahie John S. Collins conveying: to him our well
wishes in the attainment of his Eighty-ninth Year , our
appreciation of his efforts in the making of this great
city) and our wishes that in Rood health and prosperity
he may celebrate many more anniversaries of his birth
and see his 7_,;reat city an even greater one of pride.
