Event: International Tennis Federation Seniors World Team & Individual
Championships
Dates: October 29, 2017 through November 11, 2017
Time: various
Location: North Shore Park Youth Center (501 72 street) and Flamingo Park
Tennis Center (1200 Meridian Avenue)
With Miami Beach as their playground, watch the finest senior players from
Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, China, Australia, the U.K., New Zealand, Spain, the U.S. and
more show off their skills and compete in singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches.
Event: America Recycles Day
Date: Wednesday, November 15, 2017
Time: 3:00 p.m. — 5:00 p.m.
Location: All After School Sites
The Environment & Sustainability Department will be hosting hands-on activities for our
4th — 5th graders to teach how everyday items can be recycled, re -used or re -purposed
for future uses.
Event: Social Club Thanksgiving Party (for adults with developmental disabilities)
Date: Saturday, November 18, 2017
Time: 1:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m.
Location: North Shore Park Youth Center Auditorium (501 72 street)
Guests are invited to come and enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving feast with all the
trimmings. All adult Special Population participants are welcome to attend.
Event: Seniors Thanksgiving Themed Painting With A Twist
Date: Tuesday, November 21, 2017
Time: 10:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m.
Location: Scott Rakow Youth Center (2700 Sheridan Avenue)
Join us in celebrating the Thanksgiving Holiday with our seniors as they show off their
painting skills.
