RESOLUTION NO. 1540
HOUSE CONNECTION IMPROVEMENTS HC-3 , HOUSE CONNUTION DISTRICTS
L. and 6 HO-3 , 4 and 6.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
met on February 2nd, 1927, pursuant to the notice under Section 29
of t1- e Charter of the said City to hear all written objections to
the confirmation of the preliminary assessment rollbof House Connec-
tion Improvements HC-3 , 4 and 6, House Connection. Districts HC-3
4 and 6, by any person whose property is describea in said preliminary
assessment ro115 which rollsvierefiled with said City Council on January
19th, 1927, and
WHEREAS, the City Council, having received no written remon-
strances filed to the confirmation of said preliminary assessment
rollsby any person whose property is described in said roll ,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Miami Beach,
Florida, the prima facie assessment rolls as indicated on said pre-
liminary assessment rolls be, and are, in all things confirmed and
sustained against any and all lots or parcels of ground described
therein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sums and amountsigainst each
of the lots or parcels of ground in said preliminary assessment rolls
are less than the amounts that each of said lots or parcels of ground
is benefited by said improvement, that the total cost of said improve-
ments in the sum of One Thousand One Hundred Seventy-Six and 58/100
Dollars ($1,176.58) for HC-3; Two Hundred Sixty Eight and 62/100
Dollars ($268.62) for HO-4 and Eighty-Four and 24/100 Dollars ($84.24)
for HO-6, are hereby approved and confirmed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ten days after this confirmation
of said assessment roll the same be delivered to the City Clerk and
the City Clerk is hereby ordered, thirty days after the date of this
resolution, to make collection of the assessments therein as required
by law, provided, however , that the owner of any lot or parcel of
land which shall have been assessed in excess of $25,00 may, before
the lapse of said thirty days, file with the City Clerk , his written
undertaking, waiving all irregularities and illegality in connection
with said assessment against said lot or parcel and agree to pay the
same in equal installments in each of the five succeeding years, at
the times in said years at which the general City taxes are due and
payable , with interest upon said deferred installments at the rate
of six per cent per annum from date of said confirmation, which said
five year period is hereby fixed and determined by the City Council.
