RESOLUTION NO. 1553
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. ghereas , on December 15th, 1926, an assessment was
made by resolution No. 1512 of this Council against Lot 3 :
of Block 40 of the Ocean Front Property of the Miami Beach
Improvement Company, according to plat recorded in Plat Book
5 , Pages 7 and 8, of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida, and
WHEREAS, prior to said time said lot had been partitioned
and. the East Half thereof was owned by a person other than the
owner of the West Half thereof , so that the East Half was not
benefited by the improveiTent for which said assessment was
made and such assessment agatinst the whole lot was made by mis-
take and in error because of not knowing of the aforesaid facts
which have since come to the knowledge of said City Council, and
WHEREAS, the West Half of said lot should have been as-
sessed for the whole amount assessed against the whole of said
lot , the West Half receiving the entire benefit of such improve-
ment.
2. That the West Half of Lot 3 of Block 40 of said Ocean
Front Property therefore be and the same is hereby assessed in
the sum of 41'5431123 , the amount of the cost of the above mentioned
improvement made in Bulkhead Improvement BI-1-1, said amount having
by error and mistake not heretofore been assessed by the above
mentioned resolution heretofore passed against said West Half of
said lot.
3. That the City Clerk publish once for each of two conse-
cutive weeks , in a daily newspaper of general circulation in the
City of Miami Beach , a notice stating that at ten o' clock A. M.
Liarcl-i. 16th, 1927 , this City Council will hear objections of all
11-.„.., persons interested to the confit-rmeftion of the assessment heroin
before mentioned.
