ORDINANCE NO. 74-2023
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF
"THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA" TO PROVIDE FOR INCREASED
COST OF GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE, AS
AN EMERGENCY MEASURE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that portion of Section 2.55 (b) of "The Code of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida," reading as follows:
"City. The contribution of the city on behalf of the
members shall be one-half of the cost of the benefits
provided for in the agreements as such costs are de-
termined by the board, but not to exceed one hundred
thirty-five dollars per year for an agreement cover-
ing a member only, nor to exceed three hundred seventy-
five dollars per year for agreements covering a mem-
ber and his family. . ."
be and the same is hereby amended td read as follows:
"City. The contribution of the city on behalf of the
members shall be one-half of the cost of the benefits
provided for in the agreements as such costs are de-
termined by the board, but not to exceed two hundred
fifteen dollars per year for an agreement covering
a member only, nor to exceed six hundred dollars per
year for agreements covering a member and his family. . ."
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective as of January 1, 1975.
SECTION 4. This ordinance is hereby adopted as an emergency ordinance
under the provisions of Section 9 of the City Charter.

and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty
days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the said
City of Miami Beach.
