Resolution 1595 .0. wow .0. RESOLUTION NO. 1595 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That it is desired that said City have a Commission-Manager form of government. 2. That to obtain that it is necessary to almost completely rewrite the City Charter. 3. That such rewriting and revision has been done except as to the matter of issuance of bonds for local improve- ments, such revision embracing powers to do more things in the way of local improvements, to meet contingencies which have arisen in the last few years and which have been demonstrated as necessary by the severe windstorm of September, 1926, 4. That a charter in accord with the wishes of the representatives of the City with a referendum clause that it shall become effective only when ratified by a majority of the qualified voters of that city at an election called for that purpose is submitted herewith. 5. That the Representatives and Senator from Dade County, Florida, are hereby requested to procure the passage of the Act submitted herewith for the benefit of the aforesaid City. 6. That a certified copy of this resolution be trans- mitted with said proposed charter to the Representatives and Senator at Tallahassee, Florida.
