J r 1 • ORDINANCE NO. 81-2266 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1605 BEING THE UNCLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES SALARY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR CREATION OF SECTION 2. 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1605 FOR PUBLIC SAFETY CLASSIFICATION; TRANSFERRING EXECUTIVE (DEPARTMENT HEAD) CLASSIFICATIONS OF CHIEF OF POLICE AND FIRE CHIEF TO SECTION 2. 1, PUBLIC SAFETY; TRANSFERRING 1 UNCLASSIFIED (DIVISION HEAD) CLASSIFICATIONS OF ASSISTANT CHIEF OF POLICE, ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF, FIRE DIVISION CHIEF, AND POLICE DIVISION MAJOR TO SECTION 2. 1, PUBLIC SAFETY; DELETING CLASSIFICATION OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR; PROVIDING FOR A SEVEN AND ONE-HALF PERCENT (71/2%) SALARY INCREASE TO CLASSIFICATIONS IN THE UNCLASSIFIED SALARY ORDINANCE, EXCLUDING THOSE CLASSIFICATIONS LISTED IN THE ORDINANCE BODY WHICH SHALL RECEIVE PERCENTAGE INCREASES AS INDICATED: REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE RETROACTIVE TO DECEMBER 29, 1980, (NEAREST PAY PERIOD TO JANUARY 1, 1981) .
