RESOLUTION NO. 1660
DISTRICT BH-2 BULKHEAD IMPROVEMENT
BH-2
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Section 29 of the City Charter.
BH-2 COLLINSL: A Waterway in said City, to be bulkheaded
on the Sout early line thereof with a concrete bulkhead,
together with the necessary backfill, from a point which
is the intersection of a line fifty-six feet East of and
parallel to the East line of West Avenue, produced across
said Collins Canal, with the said Southerly line of the
said Collins Canal, to a point which is the intersection
of a line ten feet West of and parallel to the said East
line of the said West Avenue, produced across the said
Collins Canal, with the said Southerly line of the said
Collins Canal;
Abed from a point which is the intersection of a line nine
feet West of and parallel to the East line of Bay Road,
produced across the said Collins Canal, with the said
Southerly line of the said Collins Canal, to a point which
is the intersection of a line seventeen feet East of and
parallel to the West line of the said Bay Road, produced
across the said Collins Canal, with the said Southerly
line of the said Collins Canal;
Also from a point which is the intersection of a line sixty-"
five feet East of and parallel to the East line of Wash"
ington Avenue, produced Northerly, with the said Southerly
line of the said Collins Canal, to a point which is the
intersection of a line one hundred and eight feet East of
and parallel to the said East line of the said Washington
Avenue, produced Northerly, with the said Southerly line
of the said Collins Canal;
As said Canal, Avenues and Road are shown on Plats recorded
in Plat Book No. 6, Pages 102, 114 and 165, all of the
Public Records of Dade County, Florida; and as said Wash-
ington Avenue is named and designated in Ordinance No. 232.
PANCOAST LAKE: A Waterway in said City, to be bulkheaded
on the Easteily and Northerly line thereof with a concrete
bulkhead, together with the necessary backfill, from a
point which is the intersection of a line twenty-seven
feet South of and parallel to the North line of 26th Street,
produced Westerly, and the said Easterly line of the said
Pancoast Lake, to a point which is the intersection of
a line ten feet East of and parallel to the East line of
Indian Creek Drive, produced Southerly, with the said
Northerly line of the said Pancoast Lake;
Also from a point which is the intersection of a line
twenty-one feet South of and parallel to the North line
of 24th Street, produced Westerly, with the said Easterly
line of the said Pancoast Lake, to a point which is the
intersection of a line seven feet North of and parallel
to the North line of the said 24th Street, produced Westerly,
with the said Easterly line of the said Pancoast Lake;

Also from a point which is the intersection of a line
thirty-five feet North of and parallel to the said
North line of the said 24th Street, produced Westerly,
with the said Easterly line of the said Pancoast Lake,
to a point which is the intersection of a line one
hundred and three feet North of and parallel to the
said North line of the said 24th Street, produced Westerly,
with the said Easterly line of the said Pancoast Lake;
As said Lake, Streets and Drive are shown on a Plat re-
corded in Plat Book No. 5, Page 7, of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida; and as said Streets are named
and designated in Ordinance No. 232.
Which Bulkhead and Backfill the City Council hereby deems
to be a special benefit to all of the following property:
Outlot "J", of the Resubdivision of Blocks "G", "H", "J" ,
"E" and Trinagular Tract of the Miami Beach Improvement
Company's Ocean Front Property, as recorded in Plat Book
No. 6, Page 102, of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida; Bay Road Outlot of Belleview Subdivision, as
shown on a Plat recorded in Plat Book No. 6, Page 114,
of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida; Lots 5
and 9, Block 17, of the Alton Beach Realty Company's Plat
of Subdivision of the West half of Blocks 17, 40 and 45,
as recorded in Plat Book No. 6, Page 165, of the Publio
Records of Dade County, Florida; Outlets 1 and2, Block 4,
and Outlet 12, Block 7, of the Amended Plat of the Ocean
Front Property of the Miami Beach Improvement Company, as
recorded in Plat Book No. 5, Page 7, of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida;
And the total cost of said Bulkhead Improvement shall be
assessed against the above described property in proportion
to the special benefits derived.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with
the City Clerk plans and specifications of said Improvement and
an estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost
of the expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection
and superintendence of the work, the preparation of plans and
specifications and estimates, the printing and publication of
notices and proceedings, the preparation of bonds, interest during
construction, legal services, abstracts, etc. , and any other expenses
necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings and work herein
provided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against each
front foot of abutting property.
This Improvement shall be designated in all procdedings, assessments
and bonds as Bulkhead Improvement BH-2, and the property against
which assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall
be designated as District BE2.
