Resolution 1801 RESOLUTION NO. 1801
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the
United States Government is ready to proceed with the
widening and deepening of the East Coast Canal or inner
waterway connecting the cities of Miami and Jacksonville ,
providing the necessary right of way is obtained by the
State, and
WHEREAS, an election has been called to be held
June 26th, 1928 to determine whether the various East
Coast Counties concerned will issue bonds in the aggre-
gate sum of 4 1,887,000.00, for the purpose of obtain-
ing the necessary right of way for -this improvement .
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the said City
Council that we heartily endorse the project and urge
that our citizens vote unanimously in favor of the pro-
`' posed bond issue.
