AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 44 OF THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, SO AS
TO PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE IN PENALTY FOR
OVERTIME PARKING IN A METERED ZONE, IF PAID
WITHIN FORTY-EIGHT HOURS OF ISSUANCE FROM
$2 . 00 TO $3. 00: PROVIDING FOR EMERGENCY PASSAGE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : That that portion of Chapter 44 , Section 44-43 of
the Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
reading as follows :
" (a) Overtime parking in a metered zone, if paid
within forty-eight hours of issuance (excluding
weekends and national holidays) $2. 00"
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows :
" (a) Overtime parking in a metered zone, if paid
within forty-eight hours of issuance (excluding
weekends and national holidays) $3. 00"
SECTION 2 : All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall go into effect as of
October 1 , 1975.
SECTION 4 : The health and welfare of the City being in peril
the three readings of this ordinance shall be had
in one session, and the City Council finding that this ordinance
is necessary for the immediate protection of its citizens , it
shall therefore go into effect on the date hereinabove set
forth.

Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me at the door of the City Hall
in said City on the 3rd day of October , 1975 ,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty
days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the said
City of Miami Beach.
