AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 11, SECTION 11-3 OF
THE CODE RELATING TO LICENSING OF ELEC-
TROLOGISTS, REQUIRING THAT APPLICATIONS FOR
PERMITS BE MADE TO THE FINANCE DIRECTOR,
DELETING THE REQUIREMENT FOR CIVILIAN REGIS-
TRATION NUMBER; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 11, Section 11-3 of the Miami Beach
City Code, be and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
Sec. 11-3. Application.
Application for the permit required by this
chapter shall be made in writing to the Elty
Eek Finance Director; provided, that no
application shall be accepted from any person
who is less than twenty-one years old. The
application shall be accompanied by the
following:
(a) A medical certificate issued no more than ten
days prior to the date of the filing of the
application, indicating that the applicant is
in good health and free from communicable
disease.

-fe* (b) Evidence by diploma, certificate or affi-
davit, that the applicant has received at least
four hundred hours of practical training and
experience in the practice of electrolysis,
extending over a period of not less than six
months, either in a school in which the subject
is taught, or under the personal supervision of
a licensed electrologist who has practiced not
less than five years.
-(d)- (c) Evidence that the applicant has complied
with the liability insurance requirement of
Section 11-5. (Ord. No. 1107, §6.)
SECTION 2: EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days after adoption on
March 13 , 1982.
