AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AMENDING
SECTION 22-15 OF ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1891, THE
CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE BY EX-
TENDING UNTIL FEBRUARY 22, 1983, OR UNTIL THE
TIME WHEN AN INTERIM DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE IS
ADOPTED, WHICHEVER IS SOONER, THE LIMITATIONS
ON DEVELOPMENT NOT IN CONFORMITY WITH THE REDE-
VELOPMENT PLAN CONTAINED IN SAID SECTION;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS the Planning Board and City Commission are consi-
dering adoption of an Interim Development ordinance to replace Sec-
tion 22-15 , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1:
That the portion of Section 22-15 of Ordinance No. 1891 which reads:
Until November 18 , 1982, no new construction will be per-
mitted in the project area unless such construction is to
be located on a parcel which has been converted to an
(RU) Redevelopment Use District by virtue of the provi-
sions of this Ordinance and such parcel is to be de-
veloped according to the limitations and controls expres-
sed in this Ordinance.

Until February 22 , 1983 , or until the time when an Inte-
rim Development ordinance is adopted, whichever is soon-
er , no new construction will be permitted in the project
area unless such construction is to be located on a par-
cel which has been converted to an (RU) Redevelopment Use
District by virtue of the provisions of this Ordinance
and such parcel is to be developed according to the li-
mitations and controls expressed in this Ordinance.
SECTION 2: REPEALER
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 SEVERABILITY
If any article, section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or
portion of this ordinance is, for any reason, held invalid or un-
constitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion
shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and
such holding shall not effect the validity of the remaining portions
of this ordinance.
SECTION 4 EFFECTIVE DATE
This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days after adoption in ac-
cordance with law, on November 27 , 1982 .
